About

A little bit about who we are and where we're going.

The initial mission of the GardenQuest game is to break down the barriers to the mental-health benefits of gardening using a computer.

Have we achieved it?

The overwhelming answer is 'Yes!'.

Our players tell us so.

Who:

They say "It takes a community to raise a child." Well this is also true to build a game.

Can't even begin to tell you how many people have been on the long GardenQuest journey. Husbands, wives, children, family, friends, coworkers, investors, players, patrons, encouragers, naysayers. The list is long. To all that are a part of this, thank you. Now the work starts.

What:

GardenQuest is 3D gardening and decorating game. It is a PC downloaded game in the Microsoft Store for Windows 10 computers. What makes the game unique is the real-world plants in the game. Nearly all of the plants in the GardenQuest game are plants that one can find in nature. We go out of our way to ensure that the plants in the game represent the real-world as much as possible.

Where:

The game is a PC downloaded game in the Microsoft Store for Windows 10 computers. GardenQuest is Free-To-Play and spending is optional.

When:

The game was BETA tested in 2013 and launched in 2016 for web browsers in Facebook. In 2017 we relaunched for WebGL browsers. In 2018 we published the game in Facebook Gameroom. Due to technical complications of the platforms, we shut the game down in 2019.

Why:

The garden is of Biblical proportion. Adam and Eve were created in the garden and tasked to cultivate it. It is no surprise then that real-world gardening has psychological and physiological benefits to humanity. The garden is where we are supposed to be. The problem is that that real-world gardening is limited to those who are physically able and have the resources of time, money, knowledge and space. The mission of the GardenQuest game is to break down the barriers to the mental-health benefits of gardening using a computer. Have we achieve it? The overwhelming answer is 'Yes!'. Our players tell us so.
